Adirondack Park Preserve Reviews and Information
Description
Today, at 6 million acres and larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky, and Everglades National Parks combined, the Adirondack Park and Forest Preserve is the largest park in the nation outside of Alaska. Traditionally, climbers attempting to climb all 46 peaks were expected to register their climb in the logbook. Recently, however, the Forty-Sixers dropped this requirement in an effort to keep hikers from destroying fragile summit vegetation by wandering around in search of the cannister.
